 Streamer is a stand-alone stream encoder application for Windows (and Linux with Wine). This is designed to take the audio from the soundcard, optionally pass it through a software compressor/limiter, and encode the audio to a stream in various/multiple formats for broadcasting on the internet.

This software does not produce or play any audio. StationPlaylist Creator and StationPlaylist Studio is designed for that purpose.
StationPlaylist Studio contains a stream encoder module, so Streamer is not required when using Studio unless you wish to encode a stream on a separate PC.
Streamer is also required when using 3rd party automation or media player software.
Streamer provides a solution for internet broadcasters wanting no audio delay when doing live shows with the Mic button, but need the audio to pass through a compressor/limiter.
Stream encoding can be taxing on the CPU, and removing this process from the automation PC will reduce the resources considerably, and provide better responsiveness when doing live shows.
Streamer is useful for existing radio stations wishing to stream on the internet, or when external consoles or mixers are being utilized. Features Stream on the Internet in multiple codecs simultaneously, including MP3, AACplus (HE-AAC+), Windows Media, and Ogg Vorbis. - Supports all Shoutcast compatible servers (eg.
